In the last 25 years scientists have been trying to find a better way to detect illegal manufacturing practices in the production of wine (addition of sugar and add water) because the NMR methodology is too slow, expensive and because it requires excessive database. Now SG Isotech can give the information within a few minutes using our patented EIM-IRMS ® methodology.
Also by taking the isotopic "fingerprint" of products we can trace the original brand, geographic origin, vintage year (production of fine wines) and protect them from counterfeiting market.

During 2011th year the EIM-IRMS ® concept was presented at the International Chemical Congress AliMED in Palermo, Italy, and we have received positive comments from the international scientific societies.

During 2013th year the EIM-IRMS ® is unanimously accepted by the Standards Commission at the Institute for Standardization of the Republic of Serbia as a new method for testing the authenticity of wines and spirits.
We got positive feedback from the IHCP in Ispra about our research.
